Snagglepuss (Flocked)

Snagglepuss made his debut in the 1961 Hanna-Barbera television series The Quick Draw McGraw Show. Designed by the studio's legendary animation team, the character was inspired by the archetype of the theatrical, sophisticated lion, characterized by his distinct pink fur and his signature catchphrase, 'Heavens to Murgatroyd.' The character quickly became a cultural staple of mid-century animation, celebrated for his wit and constant attempts to find a theatrical stage in the wilderness.

The Funko Pop! Animation figure, numbered 168, commemorates this classic icon by incorporating a flocked texture to replicate the character's signature fur. Released as part of the broader Animation line, the figure leans into the minimalist, oversized-head aesthetic characteristic of Funko's design language. It was received by collectors as a faithful nod to vintage cartoon nostalgia, designed to sit alongside other iconic Hanna-Barbera figures in a series that emphasizes the lasting appeal of early televised animation.
