Where it came from
The Snake in Box Pop! figure, numbered 1177 in the Games series, was produced by Funko to commemorate the announcement and anticipation surrounding Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. This item pays homage to the legendary protagonist, Naked Snake, specifically capturing his iconic stealth mechanics from the original 2004 title. The design centers on the character's signature cardboard box, a staple of the franchise's tactical humor and stealth gameplay, allowing fans to display the character in his most recognizable hiding spot.
The figure reflects Funko's commitment to capturing the aesthetic of the Konami franchise by blending the stylized, oversized features characteristic of the Pop! line with the gritty, camouflage-clad military appearance of the character. It serves as a bridge between the classic PlayStation 2 era and the modernized graphical fidelity of the Delta remake. Upon its release, it was received as a sought-after piece for long-time stealth game enthusiasts and collectors of tactical-themed gaming memorabilia alike.
