Star And Stripe

Star and Stripe, also known as Cathleen Bate, was introduced in the My Hero Academia manga as the United States' number one hero. The character represents a pivotal bridge between the series' domestic Japanese setting and the global stakes of its overarching conflict. Funko released this figure as number 1833 in the Pop! Animation line to commemorate her dramatic and sacrificial role in the Final War arc, which resonated with fans for its exploration of American heroism through the lens of creator Kohei Horikoshi’s unique aesthetic style.

The design of this Funko Pop! captures Cathleen Bate’s signature high-collared flight suit and voluminous, wind-swept hair, reflecting the bold, heroic archetypes often found in comic book traditions. As part of the ongoing My Hero Academia collection, this figure serves as an acknowledgment of the character's fleeting but significant impact on the series' plot. It was received by collectors as a long-awaited addition to the roster, particularly for those looking to complete their displays of the world's most powerful Pro Heroes.
