Star-Lord (Vol. 2) (Gear Shift Shirt)

Released as part of the Funko Pop! Marvel line to coincide with the 2017 theatrical premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, this figure captures Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, in his signature tactical gear. The design reflects the character's updated aesthetic from the sequel, highlighting the detailed flight suit and the iconic mask that became a staple of the franchise's visual identity under director James Gunn.

Funko’s design team aimed to balance the stylized, oversized-head aesthetic of the Pop! brand with the intricate mechanical elements of the character's costume. The decision to feature him in this specific 'gear shift' variation, complete with his blasters, was intended to appeal to fans looking for a more action-oriented pose. The figure was generally well-received by collectors for its improved paint application and fidelity to the film's costume design compared to the earlier iterations in the Guardians of the Galaxy series.
