Superman (Flying) (80th Anniversary)

Released in 2018, this figure commemorates the 80th anniversary of Superman’s first appearance in Action Comics #1, which debuted in 1938. As part of the Funko Pop! Heroes line, this specific sculpt, numbered 251, captures the character in a classic flying pose that pays homage to his enduring status as the archetype of the modern superhero. The release served as a celebratory marker for DC Comics and Funko to honor eight decades of the Man of Steel's cultural impact.

The design follows Funko’s signature aesthetic, featuring a stylized oversized head and minimalist features that distill the character into a compact, collectible form. The figure is modeled after the traditional comic book iteration of Superman, maintaining his iconic blue suit, red cape, and distinctive chest emblem. Upon its release, it was well-received by collectors who sought a milestone piece to represent the anniversary, cementing its place as a staple in many DC-themed collections.
