Where it came from
Susamaru, the Temari Demon, was introduced to the Funko Pop! Animation line as part of the broader Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba collection. Produced to coincide with the popularity of the anime's first season, this figure represents the antagonist encountered by Tanjiro Kamado during the Asakusa arc. The design focuses on her most iconic trait, depicting her mid-action with her signature deadly temari balls, capturing the kinetic and chaotic energy of her combat style as animated by Ufotable.
The figure was conceptualized by the Funko design team to translate the distinct character aesthetics of the Demon Slayer series into their standardized vinyl form factor. As part of the 1400-series numbering, it reflects the company’s push to expand the Demon Slayer catalog beyond the primary protagonists to include supporting demons and secondary characters. It was received as a standard retail release, valued by completionist collectors for its adherence to the character's intricate kimono patterns and expressive, multi-eyed facial features.
