Where it came from
The Teddy Bear Girl figure is part of the Pop! Television line by Funko, released to commemorate the iconic opening sequence of The Walking Dead. This character, officially known as Summer, is a young zombie girl featured in the show's pilot episode, where the protagonist Rick Grimes encounters her shortly after waking from a coma. The figure was produced to capture the juxtaposition of the innocent childhood object and the grim reality of the series' post-apocalyptic setting.
The design of the figure follows the established aesthetic of the Funko Pop! series, characterized by a large, stylized head and simplified proportions. By depicting the character clutching her signature teddy bear, the designers aimed to preserve the visual impact of her debut appearance. Upon its release, the figure became a notable inclusion for fans of horror-themed collectibles, serving as a reminder of the franchise's early, atmospheric storytelling.
