The Joker (Arkham Asylum) (Black Chrome) (Special Edition)

Released as part of the Funko Pop! Heroes line, this specific variant represents The Joker as he appears in the 2009 video game Batman: Arkham Asylum. The figure utilizes the sculpt of the standard Joker Pop number 53, characterized by the character's iconic purple suit and menacing grin, but features a distinctive black chrome finish that gives the collectible a reflective, metallic aesthetic. These metallic or chrome variants are typically produced as special editions for retailers or conventions to appeal to collectors seeking unique material finishes on established character designs.

The Arkham Asylum game series, developed by Rocksteady Studios, was critically acclaimed for its darker, more gritty interpretation of the DC Comics universe. Funko’s choice to release a chrome version of the game’s primary antagonist highlights the enduring popularity of this character design within the gaming community. While the original Pop number 53 captured the traditional look of the digital model, the chrome treatment serves as a stylistic departure intended to elevate the item's visual presence on display shelves.
