Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Movies line to coincide with the 2017 feature film adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower, this figure represents the primary antagonist, Walter O'Dim, also known as The Man in Black. The design mirrors the character's cinematic appearance, featuring his signature dark coat and iconic wide-brimmed hat, capturing the stoic and menacing demeanor portrayed by Matthew McConaughey in the film.
Funko’s design team developed this figure to align with the studio's promotional rollout for the movie, aiming to provide fans of the literary series with a tangible version of the iconic villain. The figure was released alongside other characters like Roland Deschain, forming a cohesive set intended for both film enthusiasts and dedicated collectors of the Stephen King expanded universe.
