Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Movies line, the Marley Brothers figures were produced to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 1992 film The Muppet Christmas Carol. The set features Jacob and Robert Marley, portrayed by Statler and Waldorf, reflecting the film's unique approach of casting iconic Muppet characters in traditional Dickensian roles.
The design of these figures captures the distinct, spectral appearance of the characters as they appear in the film's haunting musical number. By utilizing the classic Pop! aesthetic—oversized heads and simplified features—the figures highlight the comedic, curmudgeonly charm of the two Muppets while maintaining the recognizable visual identity of the film's practical puppet effects.
