Thing 2

Thing 2 is a character from the iconic Dr. Seuss children's book, The Cat in the Hat, first published in 1957. The character design, characterized by vibrant blue hair and a red jumpsuit, was created by Theodor Geisel, known as Dr. Seuss, to represent the chaotic and mischievous nature of childhood imagination. These figures were reimagined as collectible vinyl figures by Funko as part of their Pop! Television line, which focuses on bringing characters from popular culture and media into a stylized, uniform aesthetic.

The Funko Pop! iteration of Thing 2 follows the brand's signature design language, featuring an oversized head, large black eyes, and a minimalist body. This release was part of a broader push by Funko to capitalize on nostalgia and cross-generational appeal by turning classic literary and television icons into desk-ready artifacts. The figure has been generally well-received by collectors who favor the consistency of the Pop! form factor, though it remains a distinct departure from the original hand-drawn illustrations by Geisel.
