Treedweller

The Treedweller figure is part of the Pop! Asia series, a branch of Funko's vinyl line dedicated to characters from international pop culture, specifically those originating from Asian markets or artists. It depicts a character from Scary Girl, the multi-platform property created by Australian artist Nathan Jurevicius. The franchise follows the story of a girl abandoned in a forest who is raised by a giant octopus, and the Treedweller serves as one of the eccentric inhabitants of this surreal, illustrated world.

The design of the figure translates Jurevicius's distinct, dark, and whimsical art style into the signature Funko aesthetic. Jurevicius has a background in illustration and character design that leans heavily into folk-horror motifs and stylized creature creation. By the time this figure was released, Scary Girl had already established a global cult following through web games, graphic novels, and designer toys, making this Pop! release a natural extension for fans of his aesthetic who appreciated the crossover between high-end designer vinyl and mainstream collectible culture.
