Twizzlers, the iconic fruit-flavored twists produced by The Hershey Company, were introduced in their modern form in 1929 by the Young and Smylie Confectionery Company. The Pop! Ad Icons series, produced by Funko, began as a celebration of American corporate branding and nostalgic commercial characters. By immortalizing the brand's distinctive red twisted packaging as a vinyl figure, Funko taps into the mid-century cultural ubiquity of the candy, which has become a staple of cinema concession stands and long-distance road trips.
