Where it came from
Vanessa Kensington, the secret agent and love interest from the 1997 film Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, was released as part of the Funko Pop! Movies line, numbered 645. This figure commemorates the character's role as a foil to Austin Powers, reflecting the film's satirical take on the 1960s British spy genre. The figure captures her signature mod-style appearance, consistent with the period-specific aesthetic that defined the film's production design.
The design of the figure emphasizes the iconic color-blocked shift dress and go-go boots associated with Kensington's look in the movie. Funko’s character interpretation focused on translating Elizabeth Hurley's portrayal into the stylized, oversized-head aesthetic of the Pop! brand. As part of a wave that included multiple versions of Austin Powers and Dr. Evil, this piece was intended for collectors of cult cinema memorabilia, serving as a nostalgic nod to the late-nineties comedic homage to classic spy thrillers.
