Velociraptor (Clever Girl)

The Funko Pop! Movies line, which includes the Velociraptor figure numbered 888, was created to celebrate iconic characters from the history of cinema. This specific figure draws its design directly from the 1993 film Jurassic Park, capturing the tension of the scene in the visitor center kitchen where the raptors stalk the children. The design emphasizes the creature's menacing, inquisitive pose, complete with the wide-eyed gaze that fans immediately recognize as a hallmark of the film's antagonists.

Funko’s stylized interpretation reflects the company's commitment to translating complex character designs into their signature aesthetic of large heads and simplified features. The 'Clever Girl' moniker pays homage to the legendary line spoken by game warden Robert Muldoon just before his ambush. Upon its release, this figure was well-received by collectors who gravitate toward the creature-feature subgenre within the broader pop culture catalog, serving as a popular companion piece to the Dr. Alan Grant and Ian Malcolm figures released in the same series.
