Vash with Kuroneko

Released as part of the Funko Pop! Animation line, this figure commemorates the character Vash the Stampede from the iconic sci-fi manga and anime series Trigun. The character, a peace-loving gunman with a massive bounty on his head, is depicted here alongside his recurring companion, the small black cat known as Kuroneko. This figure was produced to celebrate the resurgence of the franchise following the 2023 release of Trigun Stampede, aligning with Funko’s strategy of capturing the aesthetics of modern anime adaptations.

The design follows the standard Pop! aesthetic, translating Vash’s distinctive red coat, spiky blonde hair, and cybernetic arm into a stylized vinyl form. The addition of Kuroneko serves as a nod to the long-running gag throughout the series where the cat appears in nearly every episode. As with many figures in the Animation line, the design prioritizes character recognizability and visual shorthand, appealing to fans of the original Yasuhiro Nightow series and the newer CGI-animated iteration.
