Where it came from
The Vault Boy (Locksmith) Pop! vinyl figure, numbered 118 in the Games series, was released by Funko as part of their initial merchandising push for the Fallout franchise. This figure represents the iconic mascot of the Vault-Tec Corporation, a central entity in the post-apocalyptic role-playing game series developed by Bethesda Game Studios. The design reflects the character's signature 1950s-inspired art style, famously featured in the games' educational S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attribute system.
Funko utilized their standardized stylized design language to translate the two-dimensional mascot into a three-dimensional collectible, emphasizing the character's exaggerated proportions and optimistic expression. The Locksmith variant is part of a broader collection that highlights the game's various character perks and aesthetic themes. Upon its debut, the Fallout line was met with widespread enthusiasm from the gaming community, effectively bridging the gap between digital RPG memorabilia and modern vinyl toy culture.
