Venomized The Thing (Metallic)

The Venomized The Thing figure was released as part of the extensive Funko Pop! Marvel line, specifically within the crossover series that reimagines iconic superheroes and villains as entities possessed by the alien Venom symbiote. This particular variant, featuring a metallic finish, was introduced to capture the visceral, dark aesthetic of the Fantastic Four's stone-skinned hero merged with the fluid, oily texture of Venom. It represents a stylistic departure for the character, trading Ben Grimm's traditional orange rock exterior for a brooding, monochromatic palette.

Designed under the Funko house style, the figure utilizes the standard vaulted-head silhouette associated with the Pop! aesthetic while incorporating specific design cues like elongated, predatory eyes and the characteristic Venom tongue. It was produced for the wider Marvel collecting community, catering to fans of the 'Venomized' storyline that swept through comic book merchandise during this era. Like many metallic variants in the Pop! lineup, this piece was intended to offer a premium textural variation for collectors seeking a more reflective and distinct finish compared to the standard matte version.
