Where it came from
Vex is a character featured in Borderlands 4, released as part of the Funko Pop! Games line under figure number 1162. This collectible serves as a tie-in to the broader Borderlands franchise, which is known for its distinct cel-shaded art style and high-octane loot-shooter gameplay. Funko designed this figure to translate the game's stylized, sharp-edged aesthetic into the iconic Pop! vinyl silhouette, emphasizing the character's unique costume details and signature weaponry.
The figure was produced to coincide with the promotional cycle of Borderlands 4, targeting both long-term fans of the series and contemporary collectors of gaming-themed vinyl figures. As with other entries in the Games line, the design process focused on capturing the essence of the digital character while adhering to the standardized proportions that define the Funko brand. It reflects the company’s strategy of expanding their catalog through partnerships with major video game studios to capture key character designs from upcoming titles.
