Where it came from
Victor Nikiforov, the legendary Russian figure skater from the hit anime series Yuri on Ice!!!, was immortalized as a Funko Pop! figure as part of the Animation line in 2017. Released during the height of the show's global popularity, the figure captures Victor in his iconic coach attire, reflecting the series' focus on the emotional and professional bond between him and protagonist Yuri Katsuki.
The design team at Funko leaned into the character's signature look, emphasizing his distinct silver hair and poised posture. This collectible was aimed at the dedicated fanbase that emerged following the show’s 2016 debut, serving as a tangible memento of the series' blend of high-stakes sports drama and character-driven storytelling. It remains a staple for collectors of both anime memorabilia and the broader Pop! Animation catalog.
