Videl

Videl, numbered 528 in the Funko Pop! Animation line, was released as part of the extensive Dragon Ball Z collection, a series that has seen consistent expansion to capture the sprawling cast of Akira Toriyama’s iconic manga and anime. Introduced to bridge the gap between the Z-Fighters and the ordinary citizens of Earth, the character of Videl represents a grounded yet determined perspective within the series’ escalating power scales. This figure captures her signature appearance during the Great Saiyaman arc, emphasizing her role as a skilled martial artist and a significant supporting character.

The design of the figure adheres to Funko’s established aesthetic, distilling Videl’s distinct aesthetic—her iconic short hairstyle and school-appropriate athletic wear—into the characteristic vinyl form. As with the broader Pop! Animation catalog, the intent behind this piece was to provide fans of the franchise with a tangible connection to characters beyond the primary protagonists. It was received as a standard addition to the Dragon Ball Z line, appreciated by collectors for its role in rounding out the roster of side characters and rounding out displays of the Earth-bound heroes.
