Where it came from
Released in 2017 to coincide with the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, this Funko Pop figure depicts Vivec, the living god-king of the dark elves. The figure captures his iconic split-tone appearance, with the glow-in-the-dark variant serving as a tribute to his ethereal, divine nature within the lore of the Elder Scrolls franchise. It was produced as part of the Games series to capitalize on the nostalgia surrounding the return to the Vvardenfell setting.
The design draws heavily from the character's aesthetic in the updated game, emphasizing his asymmetrical blue and gold skin and elaborate, ceremonial attire. Funko’s artistic team aimed to distill the complex, often enigmatic deity into their signature stylized form. While the release was primarily aimed at dedicated fans of the Bethesda Softworks series, it was received as a quintessential piece of merchandise for those who had followed the character's narrative evolution since his debut in the earlier mainline titles.
