Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Rides series, this figure features Vivi Nefertari, the princess of Alabasta from the long-running manga and anime franchise One Piece, riding her swift-footed duck companion, Karoo. The item was produced to capture a pivotal moment from the Alabasta Arc, reflecting the series' emphasis on the deep bond between the Straw Hat Pirates and their allies. Funko designed this piece to balance their signature stylized aesthetic with the distinct character proportions established by Eiichiro Oda.
The figure represents a significant entry for One Piece collectors, as it was one of the earlier attempts by Funko to expand the franchise beyond standard individual figures into the more elaborate 'Rides' format. It was received as a nostalgic tribute to one of the most beloved story arcs in the series, appreciated by fans for the detailed sculpting of Karoo's protective gear and Vivi’s iconic outfit. Its design aims to evoke the adventurous spirit of the Arabasta Kingdom while adhering to the consistent visual language of the Pop! line.
