Where it came from
The Walrus and the Carpenter Funko Pop! figure was released as part of the Disney series, drawing inspiration from the iconic 1951 animated feature film Alice in Wonderland. The piece captures the characters from the film’s surreal segment in which the Walrus tells the tragic tale of the curious oysters. It was produced to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the film, serving as a nostalgic nod to one of the more whimsical yet melancholic sequences in Disney history.
The design follows the standard Pop! aesthetic, characterized by the trademark oversized head and simplified features that Funko designers utilize to bridge contemporary collectibles with classic animation. By featuring the duo together as a single unit, the figure leans into the camaraderie displayed by the characters in the film. The release was well received by animation enthusiasts who favor depictions of classic supporting characters often overlooked in broader toy lines.
