Where it came from
The Wez Pop! figure, numbered 1470 in the Pop! Movies line, is based on the antagonist character from the 1981 Australian post-apocalyptic action film Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. The character, played by Vernon Wells, is iconic for his mohawk and punk-inspired leather aesthetic, representing the brutal, desperate nature of the film's marauding gangs.
Designed in the signature Funko aesthetic, the figure captures Wez's distinct look, including his spiked hair and crossbow accessory. It was released as part of a broader wave commemorating the Mad Max franchise, aiming to appeal to film buffs and collectors of cult cinema memorabilia. The design reflects the company's effort to distill complex cinematic character designs into their simplified, oversized-head format.
