White Lady (Glow In the Dark)

The White Lady figure is part of the Pop! Asia series, a regional sub-line launched by Funko to feature cultural icons, mythological figures, and localized variations of established characters. Released within the Legendary Creatures & Myths category, this piece draws from the pervasive Southeast Asian folklore of the pontianak or similar vengeful female spirits. The design utilizes the standard Funko aesthetic—a stylized, oversized head and simplified facial features—to render a figure traditionally associated with dread into a collectible format, specifically incorporating glow-in-the-dark pigment to emphasize her spectral nature.

This particular variant was designed to appeal to international collectors interested in regional mythology and the broader reach of the Pop! line. As with many figures in the Asia series, the item reflects Funko's strategy of diversifying their portfolio to include folklore-based entities that resonate with specific cultural aesthetics. Upon its release, it was received as a niche curiosity, primarily sought after by completionist collectors of the Asia series and enthusiasts of horror-themed vinyl figures.
