Where it came from
Released as part of the Marvel 80th Anniversary series, this figure commemorates the character's debut in The Incredible Hulk #181, published in 1974. The design serves as a tribute to the original artwork by Herb Trimpe, capturing Wolverine's initial yellow and blue costume and his signature crouched stance. It was created to celebrate the long-standing legacy of Marvel Comics and the enduring popularity of the X-Men franchise.
The figure features the distinct visual style of the Pop! vinyl line, characterized by its oversized head and minimalist aesthetic. By leaning into the nostalgia of the 1970s bronze age of comics, the design team aimed to provide long-time collectors with a tangible piece of Marvel history. Upon its release, it was widely received by fans of the comic book medium as a staple piece for any definitive Marvel collection.
