Where it came from
Yhwach is a prominent antagonist from the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War series, the final story arc of Tite Kubo's long-running manga and anime franchise. As the Emperor of the Wandenreich and the father of the Quincy, his design reflects his imposing, monarchical status, characterized by his distinctive mantle and stern, battle-hardened appearance. This Funko Pop figure, numbered 2395 in the Animation line, was produced to commemorate the modern adaptation of this concluding saga, capturing his formidable presence for fans of the series.
The figure was developed as part of Funko's ongoing collaboration with the Bleach license to provide collectors with stylized, vinyl representations of key characters. Design choices for this piece focus on replicating Yhwach's specific attire and commanding posture as seen in the Thousand-Year Blood War animation. It was released to coincide with the resurgence of the Bleach anime, catering to a dedicated fanbase that appreciates the shift toward more detailed sculpts within the standard Pop format.
