Young Obeseus

Young Obeseus was released by Funko as part of the Pop! Television line, specifically representing a character from the critically acclaimed animated series 'The Great North'. This figure depicts the character during his younger years, capturing the distinctive, clean-lined aesthetic that defines the broader Pop! collection. The series launched to celebrate the quirky humor and eccentric family dynamics central to the show, with designers aiming to translate the stylized, two-dimensional animation of the source material into the iconic three-dimensional vinyl form.

The design process for this figure followed Funko's standard practice of distilling a character's defining features—such as Obeseus's specific attire and hairstyle—into a simplified, chibi-inspired silhouette. Upon release, the figure was received primarily by fans of the series and completist collectors of the Pop! Television range. It serves as a grounded representation of the character's narrative arc within the show, reflecting the brand’s ongoing effort to bridge the gap between popular contemporary television and collectible vinyl merchandise.
