Where it came from
The Yuichiro (Demon) Pop! figure, numbered 199 in the Animation line, was released by Funko as part of the Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign collection. The series is based on the dark fantasy manga and anime adaptation written by Takaya Kagami, which depicts a post-apocalyptic world where humanity fights against vampires. This particular variant captures the protagonist, Yuichiro Hyakuya, during a pivotal moment of his transformation, characterized by his distinctive glowing eyes and demon-infused features.
Funko designed this piece to appeal to fans of the series, focusing on the character's signature school uniform combined with the supernatural aesthetics of his demon form. As part of a niche anime sub-line, the figure aimed to distill complex character design into Funko's signature stylized form. It was received as a standard release within the broader Animation category, serving as a staple for collectors focused on the Seraph of the End franchise rather than as a mass-market breakout hit.
