Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Animation line, figure number 543 represents the protagonist Yusuke Urameshi from the classic anime and manga series Yu Yu Hakusho. The series, originally created by Yoshihiro Togashi, gained significant international popularity in the 1990s and 2000s, leading to this figure's creation to satisfy a long-standing demand from the anime community for merchandise honoring 90s nostalgia.
The figure captures Yusuke in his signature green school uniform, reflecting his identity as a delinquent turned spirit detective. Funko’s design team aimed for a minimalist aesthetic that retains the character's recognizable spiked hair and stern expression. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by fans of the series for providing an accessible, stylized collectible that pays homage to one of the most influential supernatural action series of its era.
