Where it came from
The 212th Attack Battalion Clone Trooper minifigure, associated with set 912303-1, represents the specialized unit led by Commander Cody during the Clone Wars era of the Star Wars franchise. These troopers are distinguished by the iconic orange markings on their armor, which signified their division under the command of Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi. The design reflects the transition from the Phase I armor seen in early battle sequences to the more personalized aesthetic that defined the later stages of the galactic conflict.
Lego’s execution of the 212th trooper relies on signature printing techniques to replicate the specific geometric orange patterns seen on screen. As part of the broader Star Wars theme, this figure was designed to appeal to collectors focused on army building and the completion of key battalions. Its release was met with significant interest from fans of the prequel trilogy who sought to recreate the Siege of Utapau, establishing the figure as a staple for dioramas depicting the Republic military.
