24 Hours Race Car

Released in 2015, the LEGO Technic 24 Hours Race Car was designed to capture the technical complexity and aerodynamic silhouette of modern endurance racing vehicles. As part of the Technic line, which emphasizes mechanical function and structural integrity, the set was engineered to provide a sophisticated building experience that mirrors the engineering challenges found in high-performance motorsport. It served as a flagship model for the theme, showcasing the brand's ability to integrate intricate steering, suspension, and drivetrain components into a cohesive, realistic display piece.

The model was designed to offer dual functionality, featuring a B-model conversion into a race SUV, which has long been a hallmark of the Technic series' commitment to modularity and playability. The design process focused on utilizing gear systems and articulated bodywork to replicate the functional features of a real Le Mans-style car, such as the gull-wing doors and a V8 engine with moving pistons. Upon its release, the set was well-regarded by the builder community for its scale and its success in bridging the gap between a technical learning tool and a finished model with authentic visual appeal.
