Airjitzu Morro Flyer

The Airjitzu Morro Flyer, released in 2015 as part of the Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu theme, was introduced to coincide with the Possession story arc. These flyer sets were designed as interactive toys that utilized a ripcord mechanism to launch a minifigure into the air, effectively translating the fictional martial arts technique of Airjitzu into a kinetic play experience. This specific model features the ghostly antagonist Morro, complete with his distinct translucent green aesthetic.

The design of the set focuses on the integration of the molded handle, the ripcord, and the minifigure pod. The Ninjago team emphasized a blend of traditional ninja motifs and supernatural elements to align with the season's focus on spirits and curses. Upon its release, the set was noted by collectors for its successful implementation of a functional spinning top mechanic, which departed from standard brick-built construction in favor of a more action-oriented design geared toward younger enthusiasts of the Ninjago television series.
