Kai

Released in 2015 as part of the LEGO Ninjago theme, this specific minifigure representation of Kai was featured in the 891501 promotional polybag set. The set was designed to supplement the ongoing Masters of Spinjitzu storyline, offering fans an accessible way to obtain the character in his updated outfit. The design reflects the aesthetic shifts within the Ninjago series, prioritizing the character's signature red color scheme and ninja-inspired armor elements that had become iconic to the franchise by that period.

The figure was produced during a time when LEGO was expanding its character-focused promotional sets to accompany the success of the Ninjago television series. Like many figures of this era, the design team focused on balancing screen accuracy with the limitations of the minifigure medium. It was received as a standard utility inclusion for collectors of the Ninjago line, serving as a functional piece rather than a premium limited edition, and remains a recognizable example of the design evolution seen in mid-2010s sets.
