Beach Trip

Released in 2014 under the LEGO Creative category, the Beach Trip set 10677-1 was designed as a compact, accessible entry point for builders of all ages. It was part of a broader initiative to provide smaller, theme-agnostic building experiences that focused on open-ended creativity rather than the rigid structure of licensed franchise sets. By including a varied assortment of standard bricks and specialized pieces like a surfboard and steering wheel, the set invited users to construct a simple coastal scene while encouraging them to repurpose the components into original models.

The design of the set reflects a transition in the manufacturer's approach to small-scale kits, moving away from complex narratives and toward the versatility of the classic brick. The aesthetic is clean and bright, utilizing a warm color palette typical of mid-2010s seaside-themed offerings. While it was not a centerpiece of the company's product line, it was well-received by parents and casual hobbyists who valued the portability of the set and the inclusion of a storage box, which signaled a shift toward practical, modular play patterns.
