Where it came from
The LEGO Star Wars Link Watch system was released around 2017 as part of a collection of character-themed timepieces designed for younger fans. These watches were constructed using modular, interlocking plastic links that allowed the wearer to customize the strap's color pattern and length, mimicking the aesthetic of LEGO bricks while providing functional daily wear.
The Boba Fett and Darth Vader set offered a dual-character pack that leaned into the popularity of the franchise's most iconic antagonists. The design featured distinct color palettes representing each character's armor and attire, with interchangeable bezels and minifigure-style links that integrated seamlessly with the broader LEGO building system. The set was generally well-received by collectors of LEGO memorabilia for its practical application of the brand's modular design philosophy.
