Botanical Garden

Released in 2023 as part of the Lego Friends theme, the Botanical Garden 41757-1 represents a shift in the series toward more detailed, aesthetic builds aimed at a wider age demographic. This set was designed to capture the architectural elegance of a glass-walled conservatory, utilizing a modular construction that emphasizes intricate floral displays and interior landscaping rather than purely play-based features. It emerged during a period where Lego began incorporating more complex building techniques and adult-oriented design sensibilities into themes traditionally marketed toward children.

The set was received with significant critical acclaim within the adult fan community for its sophisticated use of transparency, naturalistic color palettes, and clever part usage. Designers focused on achieving a high level of botanical accuracy, incorporating various species of exotic plants and a koi pond to evoke a sense of calm and realism. Its modular roof design and open-wall configuration were praised for balancing visual display appeal with the structural integrity expected of modern Lego sets.
