Where it came from
Released in 2012 as part of the initial launch of the LEGO Friends theme, this small polybag set was designed to introduce collectors to the new mini-doll figure system. The set depicts a simple outdoor scene featuring a puppy and a small kennel, crafted to appeal to a younger demographic interested in pet care play patterns within the Friends aesthetic.
The design prioritizes accessibility and charm, utilizing the vibrant, pastel-heavy color palette that defined the early years of the Friends line. Upon its release, the set was noted for its compact, low-barrier entry point into the series, serving as a functional accessory for larger sets within the Heartlake City collection while showcasing the updated, specialized animal molds that would become a staple for the theme.
