Where it came from
The Heartlake City Bus, released in 2023 under the LEGO Friends theme, was designed to reflect the updated aesthetic and diverse character cast introduced during the series' soft reboot. This set features a modernized, vibrant bus design intended to encourage role-play scenarios centered around urban transit and community interaction in the fictional Heartlake City.
The design emphasizes accessible play features, such as a removable roof and doors that open to accommodate the included mini-dolls. By focusing on contemporary themes of city life and transit, the set aligns with the wider Friends mission of promoting social play and relatable environments, receiving generally positive feedback from the builder community for its functional mechanics and bright, inclusive color palette.
