Where it came from
The LEGO Carousel Ride (40714-1) was released in 2024 as a seasonal promotional set. It was designed to capture the whimsical aesthetic of a traditional amusement park ride, fitting within the broader context of LEGO’s line of small-scale, display-focused models that appeal to both children and adult collectors interested in carnival or fairground themes.
The set features a functional, rotating carousel mechanism built with colorful, vibrant elements. It was developed by LEGO designers to offer a accessible building experience that emphasizes movement and charm, maintaining a compact footprint that reflects the company's focus on creating detailed micro-builds that serve as delightful shelf displays.
