Cole

This minifigure of Cole, identifiable by the set number 892290-1, was released in 2022 as part of the Lego Ninjago theme. These promotional minifigures are often bundled with themed activity books or magazines, serving as a accessible entry point for younger fans to obtain characters without purchasing the larger, more expensive playsets. The design features the character in his 'Core' iteration, emphasizing the iconic black ninja aesthetic that has remained a hallmark of the character since the theme's inception in 2011.

The Ninjago series, created by Lego to blend elements of Eastern martial arts with modern technology, relies heavily on character continuity. The designers aim to maintain a balance between nostalgic callbacks to the original 'Ninja of Earth' design and the updated armor motifs consistent with the current narrative arc. As a polybag-style release, this version of Cole reflects the franchise's ongoing strategy of providing character consistency across various media formats, ensuring that collectors and children alike can acquire key members of the ninja team through varied retail channels.
