Cole

Cole (2112-1) was released in 2011 as part of the inaugural wave of the LEGO Ninjago theme, a line developed by the LEGO Group to blend traditional ninja lore with elemental fantasy. This set was designed as a promotional polybag intended to introduce the character of Cole, the Master of Earth, to children and collectors during the launch of the series. The figure features the iconic black ninja gi and a distinct headgear piece that reflected the character's signature stoic and resilient persona as established in the accompanying television show, Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu.

The design of this early figure captures the minimalist aesthetic of the first generation of Ninjago characters. By utilizing simple, clean printing on the torso to represent the character's uniform, the LEGO design team aimed to make the character immediately recognizable while keeping the focus on the playability offered by the accompanying spinning top mechanism common to the early sets. Its reception among collectors has remained positive, largely due to its status as a foundational piece of the Ninjago franchise, which has since grown into one of the most successful and enduring intellectual properties in LEGO history.
