Where it came from
Arin, identified by set number L0002208-1, was introduced as part of the Lego Ninjago Dragons Rising theme, which debuted in 2023. This character was developed to spearhead a narrative soft reboot of the long-running Ninjago franchise, following the merger of the Ninjago realms. As a central protagonist, Arin was designed to appeal to newer audiences by representing an ambitious, self-taught ninja, distinct from the established original team members.
The figure reflects the design evolution of the series, featuring a contemporary aesthetic that leans into the vibrant, elemental-infused visual identity of the Dragons Rising era. The design choices for Arin focus on utility and youthfulness, utilizing updated torso and head prints that align with modern Lego character development standards. Upon release, the character and the associated sets were well-received by fans for successfully revitalizing the brand's lore while maintaining the core appeal of the Ninjago universe.
