Compact Tracked Loader

The LEGO Technic Compact Tracked Loader, set 42032, was released in 2015 as an entry-level model within the Technic theme. Designed to introduce builders to the specialized internal mechanics of construction equipment, it captures the functional spirit of a skid-steer loader through a compact, utilitarian frame. The model was engineered to feature a raising and lowering boom arm and a tilting bucket, providing a focused look at how gear-driven linkages translate manual input into fluid mechanical motion.

As a B-model option, the set was designed to be rebuilt into a tracked dumper, demonstrating the versatility of the Technic brick system. The design team focused on a color palette of black and orange, consistent with the industrial aesthetic common in Technic machinery of that era. Upon its release, it was well-received by enthusiasts for its accessibility and as a practical demonstration of how track-driven vehicles operate, serving as a functional gateway for younger builders into the more complex engineering principles of the Technic line.
