Corporate Alliance Tank Droid

The Corporate Alliance Tank Droid, released as set 7748-1 in 2009, was designed to represent the NR-N99 Persuader-class droid enforcer featured in the Clone Wars era of the Star Wars universe. Produced by LEGO during a period when they were heavily expanding their focus on animated series-inspired sets, the model was intended to capture the unique tread-and-sphere aesthetic of the Separatist military hardware. Its development followed the visual language established by the Lucasfilm animation team, prioritizing the droid's distinct rolling mechanism and missile-firing capabilities.

Upon its release, the set was received as a functional and faithful representation of its on-screen counterpart, particularly praised for the inclusion of the specialized Jango Fett-style clone trooper minifigure. Design-wise, the model utilized a central hub design that allowed for the attachment of the tank's wide track, a technical choice that became a hallmark of the company's approach to asymmetric mechanical vehicles. It remains a notable piece for collectors focusing on the conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
