Where it came from
Released in 2019 as part of the LEGO Overwatch theme, the Dorado Showdown set was designed to capture the vibrant atmosphere of the map featured in the Blizzard Entertainment hero shooter. The set recreates the payload cart and a portion of the marketplace building found in the Dorado level, reflecting the game's aesthetic of a sun-drenched Mexican coastal town.
The set includes three minifigures—Soldier: 76, Reaper, and McCree—each featuring detailed printing to match their in-game appearances. It was developed through a collaboration between the LEGO Group and Blizzard to bring the character-based gameplay to a brick-built medium, focusing on playability through features like a hidden compartment in the payload and the ability to pose characters in iconic battle stances.
