Where it came from
Dragon Suit Guy was released in 2018 as part of the LEGO Minifigures Series 18, a collection specifically designed to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the classic LEGO minifigure. This particular series focused on a 'party' theme, featuring characters in elaborate costumes, which pays homage to the playful and imaginative spirit that has defined the brand since its inception.
The design of the figure features a distinct dragon hood and tail piece, rendered in vibrant green with printed scales and wings. It was created by the internal LEGO design team tasked with expanding the visual variety of the collectible minifigure line. Upon its release, it was well-received by fans for its attention to detail and for providing a fantasy-themed costume that fits seamlessly into the broader ecosystem of custom character building.
