Where it came from
The ETX Alien Infiltrator, released under set number 7646-1, emerged in 2007 as a standalone entry in the LEGO Space theme. It was designed during a period when the company was experimenting with various science fiction concepts, focusing on an aesthetic that leaned into stylized, aggressive extraterrestrial vehicle designs. The set features a compact, predatory ship build characterized by its sharp angles and a distinctive lime-green and black color scheme.
The design was intended to capture a sense of agile, scout-like reconnaissance for a fictional alien faction, providing a stark contrast to the more traditional human space exploration vessels of the era. Upon its release, it was noted by collectors for its unique part selection and specialized canopy piece. While not part of a long-running sub-theme, it remains a recognized example of mid-2000s creative design, favored for its display potential and specific color palette.
