Where it came from
Released in 2009 as part of the LEGO City theme, the Farm set 7637-1 was designed to provide a comprehensive rural experience within the modular City collection. It was conceived as a central hub for agricultural play, featuring a detailed barn, a tractor with a trailer, and various livestock figures including a cow and a calf, catering to a demand for pastoral environments that contrasted with the urban focus of the broader City line.
The design emphasizes playability through a hinged barn structure and functional accessories like a pitchfork and feeding troughs. As a mid-sized set within its wave, it was well-received by collectors for its inclusion of unique molded animal elements and the classic red-barn aesthetic that had become a hallmark of LEGO's farming sub-themes throughout the years.
